Daria's Picks

"Susie" by Manu Xavier

“Susie” is a blues-rock track about the kind of relationship you know is hurting you, but somehow can’t leave. Bright guitar riffs and upbeat energy clash with lyrics about emotional dependency and denial. Inspired by artists like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Fleetwood Mac, and The Eagles, the song blends classic blues-rock textures with a raw, modern narrative. It’s messy, vulnerable, and painfully honest.

"Teenage Love" by Aydan Hill

Available to purchase on Harmonic

“Teenage Love” is a breakup song, but not a heartbreak song. Instead, it’s about finding hope, inspiration, and connection in the community around you. Nostalgic and tranquil yet quietly hopeful, the track captures that coming-of-age moment when you realize love exists beyond one person. Inspired by the sounds of Dominic Fike, Frank Ocean, and Mustafa.

Emily's Picks

"Hello" by Anna Lisa Patti

Hello” is everything you aren’t able to say to a lost loved one. The funny feeling you get in your gut, the universe’s little reminders–Anna Lisa Patti’s lyrics articulate a feeling few have captured before. The sweeping instrumentation, from bright strings to soft background vocals, grows into a distinctly raw and emotional bridge. The song finishes with a final stripped-back chorus, grounding the listener in a sense of feeling known, understood, and comforted. Patti’s release is reminiscent of folk songwriters like Phoebe Bridgers and Kevin Atwater, a guaranteed hit for indie-folk fans everywhere.

"for a reason" by Tom Huangpu feat. Anna Vtipil

for a reason” captures a sense of resignation married with futile hope, opening with breathtaking harmonies and acoustic guitars. Tom Huangpu’s and Anna Vtipil’s voices dance playfully over a distinct blend of electronic and acoustic percussion, building into a sonic masterpiece similar to the sounds of Lizzy McAlpine, Ryan Beatty, and Madison Cunningham. Huangpu and Vtipil deliver a beautiful duet through and through, with the entire track riddled with earworms and exceptional music production.
