What is the Curator Fund?

Support for the people who find the music

Independent artists deserve thoughtful coverage, and the curators who surface that work deserve support. The Curator Fund is a small honorarium program for music writers, podcasters, content creators, and community organizers.

Selected curators receive an honorarium for a short project, recommending music they believe in, connecting with independent artists, and helping shape the early curation layer of Harmonic.

What curators will do

Over the course of the project, selected curators will:

Identify 10 independent artists whose work deserves more visibility.

Work with Harmonic to connect with selected artists.

Help bring at least one artist onto Harmonic.

Write recommendations for the artists’ releases on the platform.

Provide feedback on how we can improve Harmonic.

Compensation

A flat honorarium for joining, a bonus for every artist you bring on after the first, plus commission on every sale you drive.

A flat honorarium for participating in the program.

Per extra artist

A bonus for each additional artist you bring onto Harmonic after the first.

The maximum honorarium, on top of commission earned from sales.

Curators can receive up to $500 in honorarium, in addition to commission from sales.
